What is the GospelEffort?

The GospelEffort is a social media project with a message for Christians to be salt and light in this world, built on a strong foundation of understanding the gospel and a deep awareness of the love that God has for us.

Why GospelEffort?

GospelEffort is the combination of two concepts:

1. The gospel is what brings us into relationship with God - what saves us.
2. Effort is how the gospel works in our lives so that we respond in love to God and to each other.

One clarification: effort is not necessary for salvation and without the gospel being the basis for effort - effort turns into legalism, trying to earn God's favor, and justify or sanctify yourself.
